Prayer Targets

October 15, 2019

1) Revival in America—Our Nation, President, Leaders

Acts 3:19 Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord

Proverbs 29:4 By justice a king gives a country stability, but those who are greedy for bribes

tear it down.

1 Timothy 2:1-2 1 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving

be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and

quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

2 Chronicles 7:14-15 14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves

and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I

will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 15 Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive

to the prayers offered in this place.

Psalm 138:4-5 4 May all the kings of the earth praise you, Lord, when they hear what you

have decreed. 5 May they sing of the ways of the Lord, for the glory of the Lord is great.

Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people.

Numbers 6:24-26 24 “‘“The Lord bless you and keep you; 25 the Lord make his face shine on

you and be gracious to you; 26 the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”’

Proverbs 11:14 For lack of guidance a nation falls, but victory is won through many advisers.

Habakkuk 3:2 Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, Lord. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy.

2) Declare and Give Thanks—Jesus Has All Authority

John 10:18 No one can take my life from me. I sacrifice it voluntarily. For I have the authority to lay it down when I want to and also to take it up again. For this is what my Father has commanded.”

Matthew 28:18 Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.

Colossians 2:14-15 14 He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. 15 In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.

Revelation 1:18 I am the living one. I died, but look—I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave.

Ephesians 1:19-23 19 I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power 20 that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. 21 Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. 22 God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church. 23 And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself.

John 17:1-2 1 After saying all these things, Jesus looked up to heaven and said, “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son so he can give glory back to you. 2 For you have given him authority over everyone. He gives eternal life to each one you have given him.

1 Peter 3:22 Now Christ has gone to heaven. He is seated in the place of honor next to God, and all the angels and authorities and powers accept his authority.

Colossians 2:9-10 9 For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. 10 So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.
